"The key to a realistic projection of future events in the middle east was placed in my hand through circumstances not of my own choosing. 5 years of service during WW2 with the British Army in Egypt, Lybia, the Sudan and, finally, Palestine. This was followed by 2 more years of residence in Palestine as a civilian.
